Lofton Commits to Full Season of Stadium SUPER Trucks

Charlotte, N.C. (April 18, 2013) –NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, and veteran desert off-road racer; Justin Lofton will compete in all 12 races of the Inaugural SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks (SST) season, instantly becoming a primary contender for the $500,000 championship prize.

Lofton, a native of Brawley, Calif., will leave the asphalt of NASCAR for the next four months to get dirty in Robby Gordon’s Stadium SUPER Trucks an off-road racing series modeled after the late Mickey Thompson Off-Road Grand Prix.

Imperial Valley Full Plate will serve as primary sponsor for select races, while additional primary sponsorship will be announced at a later date. Other supporters in the quest for a SST Championship on the No. 6 truck include; J6INK, Weekend Warriors Productions, Smith Sport Optics, Rockwell Time, and Impact Race Products.

“I'm excited to announce that I will be competing for the first ever Stadium SUPER Trucks Championship.  I have an ultra quick truck, and it was a real thrill to be named the first fast qualifier and heat race winner in series history at University of Phoenix Stadium, I’m really looking forward to continue to make history.” Stated Lofton.

In 2013, 11 SST events will be televised via tape delay on NBC networks, seven on NBC and four on NBC Sports. Check local listings for channels and times.

Venues include the University of Phoenix Stadium (Glendale, Ariz.), Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach (Long Beach, Calif.), Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (Los Angeles, Calif.), Qualcomm Stadium (San Diego, Calif.), Edward Jones Dome (St. Louis, Mo.), Soldier Field (Chicago, Ill.), Georgia Dome (Atlanta, Ga.), Cowboys Stadium (Arlington, Texas), Metrodome (Minneapolis, Minn.), Stadium SUPER Trucks Finals (Las Vegas, Nev.), and one to-be-named international event.

The next race for Justin Lofton and the Imperial Valley Full Plate / J6INK / Weekend Warrior Productions / Smith Sport Optics / Rockwell Time / Impact Racing No. 6 will be Sunday afternoon, April 21, in Long Beach, Calif. As the 600 HP Stadium SUPER Trucks take to the streets of Long Beach, for a high flying, tire squealing, door-to-door race that will certainly give the Grand Prix of Long Beach fans something to talk about.

Justin Lofton began his racing career on two wheels racing BMX and Downhill Mountain bikes. At the age of 17 made the switch to four wheels racing in the CHCA Series. Since then, Justin has won numerous races and championships from the mountains of Colorado, deserts of Southern Nevada, and ovals of the east coast. Justin currently races full time in the Best In the Desert racing series in a unlimited buggy, along with competing Inaugural Robby Gordon Stadium Super Trucks Series. Justin will also compete part time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
