In the first four years of his automobile racing career, Justin Lofton accumulated victories in a Colorado hill climb series and an off-road desert racing series and two Rookie of the Year honors. The determination and skill that Lofton showed in those four years propelled him into the NASCAR Grand National West Series in 2006.
Racing is not new for Justin as he began his career at the age of 11, racing downhill mountain bikes. From 1997 through 2001, Justin competed in Downhill Slalom Races and was series champion in '01.

In 2003, at the age of 17, Justin made his car racing debut in the Colorado Hill Climb Association and drove a superstock Mustang for Gay Smith. He competed in only three events and had one win, a second place and a third place, along with two fast-time qualifications. Justin also took Rookie of the Year honors.

In 2004, Justin moved to off-road desert racing and competed in the Best in the Desert Buggy Class 1000. His rookie year brought him three victories, two seconds, the Class 1000 Championship, and another Rookie of the Year title.

The following year, Justin moved to oval-track racing at California’s Irwindale Speedway in the Auto Club Late Model Series, where he gained valuable experience. Justin garnered four quick-times, a victory, a third place and finished in the top-10 six times. Additionally, Justin made his first appearance in the Auto Zone West Series at Mesa Marin Speedway in Bakersfield, CA.

Justin switched to the NASCAR Grand National West Series in 2006 to compete in his first full season. As a rookie, he stacked up five, impressive top-10 finishes and was 11th in points. Justin will again be driving the #66 Lofton Cattle Ford Fusion in 2007. With renewed energy, a new team, and new cars, Lofton heads into the season with one goal in mind: to win the NASCAR Grand National West Series championship. He is considered a top-contender for the title.
